About Me
Marin Matešić
Marin Matesic is a certified geologist who holds his bachelor’s degree from University of Zagreb and his Master’s degree at Colorado School of Mines in 2007 where he did his thesis on tight sand gas reservoirs of the Piceance Basin.
Overall, Marin has 20+ years of experience where he spent one half of his career as a development geologist working in Pannonian Basin, Croatia, Piceance Basin, US and Cooper Basin, Australia.
The other half of his career Marin worked as an Exploration geologist on Bay of Bengal assets, Amadeus basin, Australia and both Adriatic and Pannonian basins in Croatia.
At the beginning of his career Marin started with INA, then he moved US to get his Master’s degree after which he moved to Australia to work for Santos Oil and Gas Company based in Adelaide. In the last decade he returned to Europe where he worked for INA and Vermilion Exploration Zagreb and has currently been working as a Geoscience consultant.
Marin is a member of Geothermal Association (IGA) and American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG).
